School Accomplishments
 Aljeandro Torres and SOUTHEAST ROP's ACI TEAM PLACES 11th IN THE NATION!!
The Southeast ROP ACI (Automotive Careers Institute) team won 11th in the nation at the National Automotive Technology Competition at the International Auto Show in New York on April 7th and 8th. Thanks to Todd Leutheuser, Executive Director of Southland Motor Car Dealers, Dianna Docton, and to SMCDA for sponsoring the ACI team! To prepare for the national competition, Cerritos Ford generously allowed the ACI team to train on the Ford Edge with their certified technician Robert Toscas. Thank you Mike Lange, Service Director and Robert Toscas, Master Technician at Cerritos Ford!ACI team members Juan Prado, a senior at Norwalk High School and Aljeandro Torres, a senior at John Glenn High School, along with instructor Abel Ponce traveled to New York City under the sponsorship of the Southland Motor Car Dealers Association. At the two-day competition, high school auto teams from across the country tested their knowlege and skills. The ACI team worked on a Ford Edge. The Edge was "pre-bugged" and Prado and Torres had to diagnose and repair the bugs within an allotted time period. | ||||
