Guidance Services
 
The counseling staff offers a variety of services to our students and parents, in order to provide them with both high school and post-secondary assistance. These services include:
 
 
AB 1802
Parent/Student conferences with all juniors who have not passed the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE).
 
"At Risk" Junior Parent/Student Conferences
Parent/Student conferences with juniors who are credit deficient and/or have less than a 2.0 GPA. Remediation plans are developed to assist students in making up their deficiencies.
 
"At Risk" Sophomore Parent/Student Conferences
Parent/Student conferences with sophomores who are credit deficient and/or have less than a 2.0 GPA. Remediation plans are developed to assist students in making up their deficiencies.
 
Four Year Plans
Individual conferences are held with freshmen to discuss their academic plan for the next four years. College entrance requirements are discussed. These conferences are held during the Spring semester.
 
Senior Transcript Review/Classroom/Small Group Presentations
Classroom presentations are conducted with seniors in the fall. These presentations include information on graduation requirements, post-secondary opportunities and "Senior Important Dates". Seniors then meet with their counselor, in small groups, to review their transcript and check their progress toward graduation.
 
Junior Transcript Review/Small Group Presentations 
Classroom presentations are conducted with juniors in the fall. These presentations include information on graduation requirements, post-secondary opportunities and "Upcoming Important Dates". Juniors then meet with their counselor, in small groups, to review their transcript and check their progress toward graduation.
 
Sophomore Transcript Review/Classroom Presentations
Classroom presentations are conducted with sophomores in the fall. These presentations include information on graduation requirements and post-secondary opportunities. Students review their transcript and check their progress toward graduation.
 
Freshman Classroom Presentations
Classroom presentations are conducted with freshmen in the spring. These presentations include information on graduation requirements and post-secondary opportunities. Students review their transcript and check their progress toward graduation.
