Block Schedule Monday April 24 Periods 1,3 and 5 and Tuesday April 25 Periods 2, 4 and 6. Regular schedule resumes Wednesday April 26th.                                                                                                  College Commitment Ceremony is taking place Wednesday April 26th.                                                         SBAC Testing currently taking place. Look at the link below for updated information about scheduling and testing schedule for both SBAC and AP testing.                                                                      10 of our students were given Honorable Mention for a local photography contest. Winners of Honorable Mention status along with the images can be found on the CTE page under our photo album.                                                    Drama students competed in the Thespian Festival this past weekend. Giovanni Gallegos and Marissa Hinojos both won Superior awards while Liliana Barajas won an ultimate superior award for Monologue. Top 15% in the state. They are headed to Nebraska this summer! Congratulations!

WELCOME TO THE LIBRARY     

The John Glenn High School Library opens daily at 7:30 AM and closes at 4:00 PM.

The library collection consists of approximately 13,500 volumes. We have an outstanding reference collection of 1200 volumes. We have approximately 7,985 non-fiction titles and 4,400 fictions titles. We have approximately 497 titles in Spanish.  Video tapes, DVDs and audio tapes are available for teacher checkout.

There are 40 computers in the library that can be used by students for word processing and research. All library books are in our electronic catalog available on the computers in the front section of the library nearest the circulation desk.  Materials can be searched by author, title, subject or keyword.

The library subscribes to the Los Angeles times and Long Beach Press Telegram daily. We also have a large selection of periodicals to support our curriculum.
