Don't Miss Drama's Production of A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol tells the story of the miserly Ebeneezer Scrooge and his last chance at redemption. Wargo’s adaptation utilizes a 20 person ensemble that plays multiple parts in bringing the narration and characters made famous in the novel to life. Here, the story is more true to the narrative and acts as a ghost story, rather than the usual holiday spectacle that other versions portray. McDowell adds well-known holiday music, and some more lesser known traditional English carols and her arrangements sometimes carry 2-3 overlapping carols at a time. This rarely produced adaptation deserves consideration from its audience for its effective staging, creative storytelling, and musical elements.

A Christmas Carol plays the Glenn Stage from Dec. 4-7, evening performances begin at 7pm with a Saturday Matinee at 2pm. For reservations email JohnGlennHSDrama@gmail.com
