Information

The Library Media Center is open daily from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. We are open during snack and lunch (no food or drink, please). Students may use the library during class hours with a pass from their teacher.

Library books are divided between Fiction and Non-Fiction.  Fiction books are arranged alphabetically by the author's last name.  Non-fiction titles are arranged according to the Dewey Decimal classification system.

Students may check out library books for a three(3) week period.  Books may be renewed one time if there is no reserve on them.  Graphic novels are checked out for a week.  Materials may be checked out with proper identification and students may use the computer lab area if they have a signed Internet Use form.

The mission of the library media program is to support the curriculum of John Glenn High School and to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information.  To support this mission the library media program will:
  • provide excellence in library media center resources, facilities and services;
  • impact the instructional program for students by strengthening the teaching/learning process through staff development, curriculum, integration, and information literacy;
  • celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of all people;
  • emphasize the love of reading and learning.
